AI Disclaimer

Convene generates output using third-party artificial intelligence models. AI responses can be wrong, incomplete, inconsistent, or not suitable for your specific context. Please read this page carefully before relying on any AI-generated output.

How Convene Generates Output

Convene submits your question to multiple AI models from different providers (including providers such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Meta, Mistral, xAI, and Perplexity). Each model generates an independent response. A separate AI model (the "Chairman") then synthesizes these responses into a unified report.

This means:

  • No human reviews or verifies AI output before it reaches you.
  • The "Chairman synthesis" is itself AI-generated, not a human editorial judgment.
  • The "confidence level" reported is the Chairman AI's assessment of agreement among models, not an objective measure of correctness.
  • Models may agree with each other while still being collectively wrong.

Known Limitations of AI Models

  • Hallucination: AI models can generate plausible-sounding but entirely fabricated information, including fake citations, invented statistics, non-existent legal cases, and fictional expert opinions. This risk exists across all models used by Convene.
  • Training data cutoffs: Each model has a knowledge cutoff date beyond which it has no information. Models may present outdated information as current without indicating it is out of date.
  • Bias: AI models reflect biases present in their training data. Responses may exhibit cultural, demographic, ideological, or other biases. The multi-model format may reduce but does not eliminate bias, particularly when training data sources overlap.
  • Context limitations: Models process only the text you provide in your session. They do not know your full situation, history, or circumstances beyond what you share. Advice may be inappropriate for your specific context.
  • Consistency: The same question asked twice may produce different responses. AI output is probabilistic, not deterministic.
  • Web access: One advisor (powered by Perplexity Sonar) has real-time web access. Others do not. Information from web-grounded responses may still be inaccurate or misinterpreted.

This Is Not Professional Advice

  • Legal: AI output is not legal advice and does not create an attorney-client relationship. Laws vary by jurisdiction and change frequently. Consult a licensed attorney for legal matters.
  • Medical/Health: AI output is not medical advice and is not a substitute for professional medical diagnosis, treatment, or care. Do not use AI output to make health decisions. Consult a licensed healthcare provider.
  • Financial/Investment: AI output is not financial, investment, or tax advice. Financial decisions should be made in consultation with a qualified financial advisor, accountant, or tax professional.
  • Mental Health: AI output is not therapy or counseling. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, contact the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline (call or text 988) or your local emergency services.
  • Employment/HR: AI output about employment decisions, workplace law, or HR matters should be verified with an employment attorney or qualified HR professional.

Your Responsibility

You are the decision-maker. Convene is a thinking tool, not an authority.

  • Verify facts independently before acting on them.
  • Consult qualified professionals for decisions in regulated domains.
  • Consider the limitations described above when evaluating AI output.
  • Do not submit information to the Service that you would not be comfortable sharing with third-party AI providers.
  • Report any output that appears harmful, dangerous, or clearly inaccurate to hi@derrickhicks.me.

Data Handling

Your session questions are processed by third-party AI model providers to generate responses. See our Privacy Policy for details on which providers receive your data and how session content is handled.

Session content is stored in our database for your access and is not used to train AI models. However, third-party AI providers may process your input according to their own data handling policies. We recommend not including personally identifiable information (names, addresses, account numbers, medical details) in your questions unless necessary for the question's context.
